Don't try to jump into your eternal relationship with Krishna before you are ready. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta described the stages throught which one must pass. We can't go out of order. We can't jump up before we are ready.

The Gaudiya Math seems to me to be packed full of sahajiya gurus and disciples. ISKCON on the other hand is not like that.

Mon, July 23, 2007 - 9:55 AMAs padmini's friend and occassional preaching partner, i think it's only fair to warn the lot of you what she's doing here so you don't go away disturbed. padmini has HAD IT with the guru-bashing and new sectarian nature of the Krsna conscious movement, especially in the west. Krsna consciousness is not meant to be sectarian AT ALL, even in reguards to comparing KC to other religions. i repeat, KC is NON SECTARIAN at finest. she's mocking all the "devotees" who think their Guru or their camp is better and won't associate with other camps. i know i myself have come across this bashing timea and again, been marginalized becasue i had a diff Guru, asked not to participate in certain things and also been made to feel unwelcome even in my own camp because i was a bit of a hippy, even when i was trying really hard to fit in. that's the BIG HOLE in our Bhakti people, and until we stop that kind of nonsense we won't be seeing Vrndavana anytime soon! -

Mon, July 23, 2007 - 1:11 PMNo that is not it at all Saibya. I hate NEOPHYTE KANISTHA ADHIKARI GURUS WHO PRETEND TO BE UTTAMA ADHIKARIS! Does this mean I love ISKCON and not the Gaudiya Math? It sounds that way but those who know me also know I have spent much time criticizing this same tendency over at Gaudiya Repercussions in regards to one certain ISKCON SANNYASI who had sex with his therapist and wrote the "F" word in his books, at least one of them. I have hated this man for many years because he never admitted he was not an uttama adhikari from the time they started saying he was one until he got caught "F"ing this woman, who was not only his godsister but another man's wife!
I am not saying I would not have done the same thing, as far as having sexual relationships with that woman, or falling down, or breaking the four regs. But to cheat your disciples?!! Maybe I would have if things had happened to me where I became a guru very easily and had all this power. But I just see how his disciples sold their houses to give him money and their cars and gave him their hard earned wealth so he could live in the lap of luxury instead of being an austere sannyasi. He never even goes to the temple. How could someone be so blind as to believe in this man all this time? Let him try to serve in a temple but don't worship him as an uttama adhikari!
In the same way devotees have left ISKCON after being cheated by ISKCON "gurus" who were fallen and left to take shelter of the Gaudiya Math. But I don't see where the Math gurus are any better. Are any of them above the neophyte stage? What is the proof? Where is the evidence? I have been cheated by the best of them so as the saying goes, "Once bitten twice shy", I am afraid of these Gaudiya Math people. They never lifted a hand to help Srila Prabhupada while he was present, and after he left they jumped right in to take away his disciples. Sorry, I just don't go for that. If someone is taking away from Srila Prabhupada that is a black flag for me to stay away from them.
Whether it is the International Society for Krishna Consciousness International Society for Krishna Consciousness Reform Movement, otherwise known as ISKCONIRM, or the Gaudiya Math.
If I come to hear of a nice devotee in the Math who is not out to grab temples and disciples and is self manifesting then perhaps I will recognise him or her as a great personality. In the meantime I stay far far away from them all. And being loyal to Srila Prabhupada I have to recommend the same to everyone. -

Mon, July 23, 2007 - 1:43 PMThe gaudiya matha Indians gave a lot of support to Srila Prabhupada, like my parama-Guru Bhaktiprajnana Kesava Goswami, came to Srila Prabhupada's house and said, "Come with me, your taking sanyassa. How can you go west to save the world if you don't take sanyassa now?" He had Srila Narayana Maharaja, Prabhupada's godbrother and close friend, perform the sanyassa ceremony, and they knew he was going west because Srila Bhakisiddhanta Saraswati, their Gaudiya matha Guru, predicted it. Srila Narayana Maharaja was always sending mrdangas and books, sweets and ghee to Swami Prabhupada, and when Swami first returned to India with American disciples, Srila Narayana was there to pick them up at the airport.
The gaudiya matha Indians were a very humble group and it is true that some of them were not ready for the westerners and their strange ways. Many of them were neophytes at the time, so how can we blame the gaudiya matha, the legacy of our entire guru-parampara for this? We cannot! Yes, Srila Prabhupada did it on his own in so many ways. All glories to him!!!

frankly, i don't even know why you would bring something like this up. isn't there enough strife and schisms? We should be grateful that there are vaisnavas out there at all. I can't stand this black & white thinking. All this finger-pointing and fault-finding doesn't help anything. Your lack of maturity is glaring and i need to move away from you. -

I guess the best thing for me to do is stay away from the Gaudiya Math. Please stay, I will go away. This is your tribe not mine. hare krishna
