Haribol-
i live in Olympia, Washington and I would love to associate with mature devotees in the Gaudiya Vaisnav traditiion. I am not able to get to the temple in Sammamish and would appreciate the opportunity to get together with devotees for bhajan, reading, listening to lectures, sharing prasad. Thank you

There are quite a few devotees south of Seattle and one couple I know of that live in south Tacoma. I know their intent was to do some kind of center down in Tacoma or something but I don't know if they've done it yet. I'll see if I can get you some emails or something. We also have 2 groups up north of Seattle that meet regularly, but they might also be hard for you to get to.

Thanks that would be great--it is difficult to be motivated without consistant association. Just out of curiosity what do the north of Seattle groups do when they get together?

There are 2 that I go to. One has a typical old Sunday feast like program. Kirtan, Bhagavad Gita class and then prasadam. The other one is similar maybe a little less formal and with a Bhagavad Gita discussion instead of a class, so kirtan, Gita discussion and then prasadam. The one with the Gita class meets pretty much weekly at all different houses from Bothell to Marysville to Sedro Wooley. the one with the Gita discussion meets every other week and is in Bothell, right off of 405, at a devotee's house. They are both quite nice programs. The one with the Gita class is almost always on Sunday afternoon. The one with the Gita discussion is every other Friday evening at 7.

There is also a yoga center free food program in the U disctrict of Seattle that would be easier to get to than Issaquah.

namaste again Mackhanchor das, its good to see you in this more friendlier forum. I just found that you are in the Metro Seattle area. It is quite interesting to note that there are kirtans going on. I would like to have info on these and if these are open. I have been in Seattle area for more almost 10 years now. I am starting to associate again recently and would be interested in these kirtans, hoping I might meet you in one of these gatherings. I will email you privately, I would liek to ask a few questions from you, sincere questions, thats if you don't mind. May well wishes to you and to all the posters in here.

            Haribol SacredRiver,

Things have changed a little since I posted those descriptions. The one group with the Gita discussion instead of class was being hosted by a young couple who have now moved from Bothell to Marysville. I haven't heard of any programs there lately.

The other program still meets most Sundays, usually at 2:00. Lately it has been either in Marysville or Sedro Wooley.

            My email is makhanchor@verizon.net

We'd be happy to have you come to the programs!!
